Bret
A. Wittmer, DVM, MD Medical Director
Doctor Wittmer has 8 years experience as a Board
Certified Family Practice Physician, he is also
a certified Medical Acupuncturist. He holds current
certifications in CPR, First Aid, ACLS, ATLS,
PALS, and is a Certified Clinical Investigator.
IATA training. HIV/Aids and Preventing Disease
Transmission training. Doctor Wittmer also holds
admitting privileges to Regional Medical Center
Hospital. Regional Medical Center is a level III
trauma center with most specialties being represented.Dr. Wittmer has conducted over 200 clinical studies in the past 10 years.
Dr.Wittmer is an active member of ACRP and DIA. |

Christy Coleman, Nurse Practitioner, ARNP-C
Christy joined the staff at Commonwealth Biomedical Research in December 2008. She brings with her 9 years experience as an RN specializing in Home Health Care. Christy is currently on staff part-time as an ARNP specializing in family practice. She sees patients of all ages for a variety of medical conditions. She is currently accepting new patients. She is certified as ARNP and CPR. |

Phyllis Barnes,
RN, Assistant Study Coordinator
Phyllis brings a wealth of clinical experience
to the team with over 14 years providing nursing
care to patients. She has worked part-time for
Commonwealth Biomedical Research since 2004 and
subsequently has become a full time Study Coordinator
at this time. Phyllis holds certification in CPR,
First Aid, HIV/AIDS prevention, OSHA and IATA
and is an active member of ACRP and DIA. |

Cecil Chaney,
Electronic Data Entry and Regulatory
Cecil started working at Commonwealth Biomedical
Research in October 2006 after relocating to Madisonville
from Florida. He has first aid training and CPR
training and is a member of the DIA and ACRP.
Cecil's primary job responsibilities are electronic
data management for ongoing clinical trials and
regulatory start-up submissions for pending clinical
trials. He has worked on Phase I-IV trials. Cecil's
hobbies include fishing and cooking. |

Mike Garrett,
RN, CCRC, Study Coordinator
Mike has 13 years nursing experience with 7 of
these being in research. He has trained in the
ER, CCU, Home Health, open-heart recovery and
ICU. He has been a certified Clinical Research
Coordinator since 2004 and has conducted over
75 industry-sponsored trials. He has completed
clinical research trials in the areas of Osteoarthritis
(narcotic and non-narcotic), Rheumatoid Arthritis,
Migraine Headaches, Hypercholesterolemia, Genital
Herpes, Hypertension, Vaginal Atrophy, Healthy
Volunteers, Osteoporosis, Low Back Pain, Type
2 Diabetes, Diabetic Neuropathy, Diabetic Obesity,
COPD, Asthma, Hypogonadism, Constipation, Phase
1 Trial Conduct, Fibromyalgia and Irritable Bowel
Syndrome. Mike holds certification in CPR, First
Aid, HIV/AIDS prevention, OSHA and IATA and is
an active member of ACRP and DIA. |

Terri Higbee, RN, BSN, Study Coordinator
Terri is originally from Madisonville, KY and has been an RN for 13 years. Her BSN is from Murray State University and she works on clinical research trials in the area of weight loss, knee pain, hotflashes, numerous vaccination trials including H1N1, diabetes and more. Terri's experience includes NICU, OB, Med-Surgery, Psych, Home Health and Nurse Management. |

Tom Ferguson,
Study Coordinator
Tom has worked as a licensed paramedic for 14 years serving as a flight medic, ground medic and instructor. He is an instructor for the American Red Cross and American Heart Association. Tom has held the certification CCRC for 5 years and has completed over 75 Phase I to Phase IV inpatient and outpatient clinical studies. He also currently holds certifications in ACLS, PALS, NALS, CPR, First Aid, BBP, HIV/AIDS, OSHA and IATA. Tom is an active member of the ACRP and DIA. |

Kathy Morgan,
Administrative Assistant
Kathy has worked for Commonwealth since 2002.
Kathy also has training in HIV/Aids and Preventing
Disease Transmission . Kathy fields all patient
related phone calls and monitors the screening
process for all study related activities. |

Kim Puckett, Administrative
Assistant
Kim is an important part of the general secretarial
support staff at Commonwealth Biomedical Research.
She is trained in CPR and HIV/AIDS and is responsible
for general patient care within Dr. Wittmer's
family practice. |

Kim Wallace, MLT (ASCP), BS, Study Coordinator,
Patient Recruiter
Kim has 12 years experience as a Medical Laboratory
Technician and is registered with the American
Society of Clinical Pathologists. She has working
knowledge in all areas of the lab including
hematology, chemistry, microbiology, immunohematology,
serology and urinalysis. Kim also holds a Bachelors
of Science degree in Organizational Leadership.
Her clinical trial experience includes: Overactive
Bladder, COPD, Phase I Trials and Genital Herpes.
Kim is certified in Sperm analysis for trails
requiring this procedure. Kim also holds certification
in CPR, First Aid, HIV/AIDS prevention, OSHA
and IATA and is an active member of ACRP and
DIA. |

Eric Dytzel, Marketing and Patient Recruitment
Eric is CWBR's marketing and website developer. With 9 years of website design experience and a successful background in search engine optimization, Eric ensures that websites are current and easy to find on search engines. In addition to website development Eric is repsonsible for developing and placing print marketing information as well as radio and television marketing in support of patient volunteer recruitment. |
